Weekend Reading: “effortless” beauty, infinite lists, and the Myrtle sewalong

Every summer, I wonder how it is I got so busy.

One of my not-so-secret dreams is to be able to afford to work shorter weeks in the summer, maybe taking fridays off to enjoy the sunshine, go hiking, and sit on my patio. Instead, I always seem to find myself buried under a pile of projects, unable to find the time to do simple things like make dinner before 10pm.

So I’ve been scheduling in time for happy summer things, like watching Hitchcock’s Notorious from a rooftop. Summer has a way of reminding you when you’re missing out on things, doesn’t it?

I love the handbag pattern that includes storage for a gas mask…. I like that bag… I think it might be rather practical…

Zippy

I won’t lie – I kind of want to make that handbag.

Heads-up: the industrial sewing tips link is broken. Google told me it was probably the one below. Thanks for all the sharing!

Love your roundups! “Why don’t we all just admit we didn’t wake up like this?” and the one about the infinite list both really hit home for me. Love seeing all these great things round the internet on blogs I’ve never visited before!

I think the admin of this web page is in fact working
hard in support of his web page, for the reason that here every material is quality
based data.

At one time in my life, I worked four days a week for 10 hours and had Fridays off. It was amazing, and definitely improved my overall happiness. The extra 2 hours every day were barely noticeable, especially compared to how much I gained with a three day weekend.

We never eat before 8, even 9, at this time of year because I can’t eat dinner when its still light out…. So my whole day gets pushed back in the summer. Have tried to change it, but my body just won’t let me, so now I just go with it.

Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this blog.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough
to get that “perfect balance” between usability and appearance.
I must say that you’ve done a awesome job with this.

Additionally, the blog loads very fast for me on Firefox.

Exceptional Blog!

I’ve been surfing on-line more than 3 hours lately,
yet I by no means discovered any fascinating article like yours.
It’s pretty price enough for me. In my opinion, if all web owners and
bloggers made just right content as you did, the net will be much more
helpful than ever before.
