Fabric Finds: Botanical

I have long loved detailed botanical illustrations. Seeing this image above on flickr inspired me to look for fabric in this aesthetic.

Lo and behold, I found this incredible cotton print at eQuilter.

There is also a cream/red colorway, but I personally prefer the stark yet springtimey-ness (I wish that was a word) of the black/pink.

I can see these motifs being cut out and appliqued to a skirt or dress. So lush.

At the top of your post I was thinking “this would make a great applique for a skirt”! And then I read your last sentence. lol. ;)
