Inspired by 2010
Goodbye 2009, hello 2010! Are you happy to be making the leap to another year, or eager to turn the page to start afresh? These days I’ve been thinking a lot about maps, and how I’ve looked to my past, including being inspired by vintage family photos like the one above, to understand my present. It seems natural this time of year to look back, hopefully with renewed excitement to begin projects, see the completion of old ones, or just take time for ourselves in the year to come.
What are your inspirations and intentions for 2010? I’ve charted out a few of mine above, and I could add more, like: learn how to cook with celery root, take more day trips in my own city, bake with my kids, paint my nails more even if it chips off immediately, and more…
I’m so happy to have accompanied you the last several weeks at Colette Patterns, and look forward to greeting you in January!

Painting your nails sound fabulous! Pampering and something I don’t think we do enough for ourselves. Love your patterns!
