This month I’m going to post a bunch of different ways you can style the patterns in the Colette Sewing Handbook. Today I’m starting off with the versatile Meringue skirt. It’s a fun staple that looks great in just about any fabric! The skirts in the photos are made with a medium weight cotton twill. This fabric holds it shape really well, which is especially important since those scallops need a bit of support.
I hope that these outfits give you some inspiration to try something new. I’d love to hear what kind of outfits you’d put together. How would you dress the Meringue skirt up or down? What fabric would you use to make the Meringue skirt?
