Vintage Details: Swirls and Loops

This gorgeous dress from allencompanyinc is so inspiring. I love the seafoam color (one of my favorites), the sheer fabric, and of course those lovely lovely loops.

These would be very easy to create: just a bit of bias tape stitched by hand or machine to the surface of a dress in a looping pattern. So simple, but so much impact!

This would be easier to recreate with a can of Sullivan’s stabilizer spray and a wash away glue. Stiffen the fabric with the spray, loop the trim and glue down. Let the whole shebang dry and stiffen. Sew the loops in place. Wash the fabric. Dry. Fluffy, embellished tulle!
