Negroni giveaway!

To help celebrate Celebrate the Boy month (is that redundant?), we’re doing a little giveaway for a free Negroni men’s shirt pattern.

This is a really great pattern for learning some new techniques around sewing for guys. And as a bonus, if you need a little extra help, cheerleading, and inspiration, Peter is still doing an awesome Sew-along with this pattern!

All you have to do to win is post a comment and let me know who you’d like to make the Negroni for (whether it’s yourself or someone else). I’ll keep the comments open for 24 hours, then choose a winner using a random number generator. Good luck!

I would love to win this! My husband gets jealous that I spend all my free time sewing little pants for our toddler and even littler things for our due-in-June daughter. He would be so excited if I actually sewed him something he could wear!

I think I’d make this for my sweet husband, who watches, bemused, as I sew. Thanks for the chance!

My tall slender husband always has to buy shirts that are too big for the extra length. I’d love to make him some custom shirts that actually fit well!
Thanks, Leah

If I won the pattern I’d make some shirts for my husband. He’s really into long sleeve button downs now (used to be exclusively apolo type of guy) and so far he doesn’t have very many in the closet! I plan to change that =)

ever since I started sewing clothes for my little boy, my husband has been requesting a button up shirt – this looks like it might the perfect match to what he is looking for.

I would have had my eye on this pattern for a little while now, so to win it would be wonderful! I would make it for my much-deserving other half, who has put up with a great deal of hormones whilst I’ve been pregnant with our little girl : )

I love these seams! I use them on all my little boy’s pajamas and cotton shirts so he doesn’t get any itchy feelings. I’d love to surprise my husband with a shirt just for him. Considering I’ve NEVER sewn him anything.

I loved this when it first came out, but wasn’t sure my husband would want a shirt so I didn’t buy. If it’s free though . . .
Thank you!

For my husband! I’ve made him several pieces to wear over the last few years… right now he’s kicking around in a pair of bluejean & cow pattern bell bottoms that I made at his request, and he’s always asking what I’m making for him next :-)

So, I don’t know who the handsome fella is modeling this shirt or who actually sewed the shirt but this could be my husband (a little shorter beard, and a little less hair. He even owns a shirt in a fabric and style just like this. I’ve been sewing about a year and so far only kids clothes and home decor stuff. He’s been asking for clothes and so far only pj pants. I’d love to make the transition into sewing for my man but a little nervous and not sure where/how to start…

Thanks for your inspiring site I check it every day.

Like a good half of the people here, I’d be making it for my husband. He recently dropped nearly 50 pounds and his wardrobe hasn’t caught up yet, so I think he could use a nice, slim-fitting shirt to show off the hotness.

February 18, 2011 #

I would love to make one (or a dozen) of these for my hubby. It’s so hard to find men’s collared shirts that will fit him, so I’d love to be able to make some in just his style. Thanks!

Oh, wow. I can’t believe I didn’t know about this pattern! Although I’ve been itching to make shirts for my husband and my brother, they are both good (picky) dressers and would have no tolerance for anything that wasn’t a modern fit. This pattern is it! Thanks for the chance to win.

Jennifer

February 18, 2011 #

I would love to win this shirt pattern. My husband really needs some new shirts. I have considered buying this shirt pattern many times but you have so many patterns I want to buy that I always end up buying the one’s for myself first :-)

I’ve been watching the sew along with a growing desire to make this pattern. My lovely partner has such a limited range of ‘business shirts’, I’ve love to surprise him with a nice patterned shirt or a white one with some embroidery embelishing over the shoulder.

February 18, 2011 #

I’d make one for my husband, because he’s very encouraging of my sewing and drives me to fabric stores whenever I ask! He’s also tall and slim which makes it almost impossible to buy shirts that fit him well; most clothing companies seem to expect height and weight to increase at the same rate.

My boyfriend wears flannels all the time and he has a birthday coming up, so this pattern would help me make the perfect present. I even have some gray wool that look great as a Negroni!

Beth

February 18, 2011 #

Since I’ve been watching a lot of Top Chef, but also have been sewing, I’m going to merge these two themes: I would sew a trio of Negronis for the men in my life….boyfriend, brother, father.

Kelly

February 18, 2011 #

I’d like to make this for my husband. He’s got super narrow shoulders and a large neck, so shirts never fit him. He looks like he borrowed a shirt from his dad.

Nice giveaway! My answer won’t be very original: I’d make one for my husband. We’ve been trying to find some shirts lately as he needs one, but we haven’t been able to find something nice that fits him. He’s rather tall but thin, so either the sleeves are too short or the shirt is too large. I’ve heard good things about your pattern so this would be perfect to try it! And I’d be happy to make a garment for him for once. Thank you very much for this giveaway!

Sarah

February 18, 2011 #

I would love to make this shirt for my husband who surprised me with a sewing machine last year for my birthday. This would be my way of saying thank you!

Becca Landon

February 18, 2011 #

I’d love to make one for my brother (and maybe myself, it looks like it would be cute in a floral). I’ve been coveting the pattern for a long time, its a great mesh of modern and retro. Thanks for hosting this one!

This shirt is like a Woolrich my Dad had. One road trip, I made him and my mom get out and kiss in front of colorful signs and he was wearing this shirt. I have the shirt now, but it is frayed and worn. My Dad is gone now, but I’d like to make one in his memory.

I’ve been eyeing this pattern off for ages and just waiting for the weather to get cooler to justify buying it.

My bf is tall and lean but with wide shoulders. Half the shirts he owns look like he is wearing a balloon and the other half don’t even reach his wrists!

To be able to make him his own shirts that actually fit would be such a thrill!
