Stockists: Home Ec and Bolt Fabric!

Some exciting announcements about new stockists of Colette Patterns! There are actually several new stockists and I’ll soon be adding a section on the site to keep you updated on stores in your area. But I wanted to share a couple shops that I actually know and love that are no carrying the pattern line!

home ec website

Los Angeles: First up is Home Ec, a new addition to the wonderful Silverlake shop, ReForm School. I travel to Los Angeles regularly and have been to ReForm School a few times. I don’t want to gush too much, but I really adore this shop full of handmade goodies, art, accessories, and paper goods. So you can imagine how excited I am that the new Home Ec shop is carrying Colette Patterns! They also offer an amazing range of fun classes. They are seriously cool. You can buy them online or check out classes through theHome Ec website.

Bolt website

Portland: I am equally excited about the first local stockist, the beautiful Bolt Fabric Boutique. Those of you in Portland are no doubt familiar with Bolt. It is an absolutely charming store filled with fun, modern, colorful fabrics. Really an inspiring place to shop. In fact, just this weekend, a friend and I strolled by after brunch and she sighed and said it made her want to learn to sew.

Anyway, just wanted to give a shout out to two of my favorite stores, I’m so grateful to be a little part of their inspiring businesses.

Sarai Mitnick

Founder

Sarai started Colette back in 2009. She believes the primary role of a business should be to help people. She loves good books, sewing with wool, her charming cats, working in her garden, and eating salsa.

Congratulations on the stockists! Both those stores sound great, wish I could pop over to the US to check them out, there is a serious lack of cool fabric/sewing provisions shops here. Although I do quite enjoy hanging out with the old Spanish sewing women! I really hope these cool stores do well and that this spells a serious return to home sewing. Your patterns deserve to do well, I was very excited to receive my Beignet pattern.

just FYI, bolt is already out of stock on parfait as of today! they have several copies of the other 3 patterns in stock, but between sarai and amy (angrychicken), i think parfait flew off the shelves. :) they were happy to take my name today and will call when parfait is back in stock. cute store!
