We have been having too much fun over here at Colette HQ collaborating with our buddies Cotton+Steel!

This morning I had a bit of a “attitude of gratitude” moment. I was just minding my own business, getting ready for the day when it struck me. I ran into the kitchen, where my partner was making coffee and flatly stated, “You know what, this is pretty damn cool. When I was 20 years old, working at a quilt shop, I had no idea that one day I would be working with my two favorite companies!”

I have been a die-hard fan of Melody Miller/Cotton+Steel and Colette Patterns since day one and I couldn’t be any happier to be movin’ and shakin’ with both of them on this project.

Here’s a couple cute snapshots we took during Colette ♥ Cotton+Steel photo shoot. They’ll be going in my scrapbook soon.

These photos are fun to see and naturally happen in the course of events. Sewing is not always about getting things 100% done. For example, it might be a good idea to let a hem hang for a while before finishing. This would not prevent taking photos or writing about what is happening. Most of my sewing mistakes happen when I am rushing a project to get to something else and don’t let that hem hang.

Also, loving this fabric!

These shots are great! These “behind the scenes” peeks show how much went into these collaborations and how much fun everyone’s having! Very inspiring.

Also, I LOVE that dark floral!! What is it?!

I love the fabric and like to wear it but i am sooooooooo far in east Jerusalem the old city so thank you

I love Cotton & Steele and all this time I thought it was a type of cotton! But today at my local fabric store here in Victoria I discovered it was a brand of fabric :) It’s such a fine quality fabric but I’m glad I know now it’s a brand as opposed to a type because I would have ordered it expecting it to be exactly the same as my last order :)
