Zoe’s Ceylon

zoe-ceylon-collage

Another gorgeous creation I couldn’t wait to share with you guys today.

Meet Zoe’s new Ceylon. She chose a japanese cotton print that looks so much like a vintage rayon to my eyes, I was suprised it was new! I think it was the absolute perfect choice, really emphasizing the 1940s inspired lines of this dress.

You can read more about it on Zoe’s lovely blog.

This is so sweet! I hadn’t seen a Ceylon in a print yet, and I’m still doing my research for the pattern now that I bought it (!). Thanks!

Wow! I really like it! In fact, this makes me reconsider the pattern. I, for some reason, kind of looked over this pattern without really giving it that much attention. Now, I am seriously thinking of trying it with those sleeves!

I haven’t really been drawn to that pattern, but this version has made me look again. The print is lovely and the fit fabulous. Very sexy without showing a lot of skin!

I love this, it reminds me of a dress my mother used to wear and she always looked smart, it is sort of old fasioned and yet new….

Ceylon is lovely in a print, and it feels very forties. Zoe did a fabulous job!

Hmm it looks well made but I have to say that I prefer Ceylon in solids. All those beautiful details just disappear into the pattern of the fabric.

Beautiful, love the pretty print of the fabric, perfect for the style of dress.

Love it! I agree that some of the finer design details do tend to disappear in the midst of that sweet Japanese print, but they also cleverly conceal the piecing devices which lend that fabulously curve-loving fit.
